Amairah

Well it's been an awfully long time and what does one say after such a long break!! I hoped to share many home makeover ideas but sadly that didn't happen and the longer I stayed away the harder it became to get back!

Meanwhile in the real world we had a baby girl who is 9 months old!! Seriously where did all the time go??!! Seems just like yesterday we were going through all the complications with my pregnancy and now baby A is almost a year old! And though they say the first year is the hardest, its been anything but!:)

Some favorite posts from around the world!

Love this!

Painted Headboard!

Taking inspiration from the painted wallpaper tutorial from Jones Design Company,  http://jonesdesigncompany.com/decorate/painted-wallpaper-a-tutorial/, I decided to try it on our plain fabric head board in the guest bedroom. It is my first attempt at painting and the lines are not absolutely perfect. Also the grey looks too dark and I should have maybe gone for a lighter colour keeping with the theme of the room! well anyway..here's to first attempts and tons of learning!

The head board in it's original form..my husband cannot understand why I would wanna take a perfect piece of furniture to try my stunts!:)

House Tweaking

I've been quiet for a few days but a super friend just convinced me that I should blog and that there are people who wanna know what's going on in our lives, heads, homes:)..and that's just the push i needed:) so a big big thanks to you!!

Everyone deals with stress differently and I've been mostly staying calm through all the chaos around us..Hope it all passes soon and we go back to the easy comfy lives we lead:)..My head's filled with DIY ideas and I hope to go out and get my supplies soon..Very inspired and dying to buy some plain picture frames from IKEA & washi tapes & some fabric paint & beautiful fabrics..the list is endless!! Getting around in Kuwait on my own is a little tricky for a little more time..How I miss online shopping!!!

Stay Inspired!

Lately I've been following many blogs.. In a friendless new city without my favourite people these blogs have helped.. And made me feel less alone. But how much of yourself do you put out there?

Things that inspire!

This week I’m excited about re-doing our living room! Out with the old and in with the newJ We decided to do away with the large black sofa’s that we currently own (well they were here before me) and find something that’s more us..warmer, keeping the colour scheme more neutral, more pictures on the walls, a corner lamp stand, new cushion covers that I’m working on - All that & more in my next post. Fresh, gorgeous ideas from some of the beautiful living rooms I'm loving & drawing inspiration from!
